Iranian award-winning title ‘Castle of Dreams’ has won an award at the Family Film Awards in the US.
Reza Mirkarimi’s movie which has lately been on a spree of winning awards from various international film events has now won the Best Foreign Feature award from the latest edition of the American film event.
The film has also won Best Film award from the 20th Italian Asiatica Film Festival which held closing ceremony on October 10.
A brief synopsis for the flick reads, “Jalal Moradi, a 42-year-old father of two, kills a family in an accident. In the court of law, the murder is recognized as accidental killing without intent. After getting out of prison, he leaves his wife and kids and moves to another city. Two years later, he must go back to his home town as his wife is brain-dead”.
Hamed Behdad, the star of ifilm series ‘Free Fall’, has played the main role in the flick.
‘Castle of Dreams’ has so far claimed a number of awards from international film festivals including the Best Director award from the 4th Slemani International Film Festival in Iraq.
The Family Film Awards held its 23rd edition this year.
